The PSP Go: PSP Ratings From a Geek Point of View
By Kenda Dandrick

Generally considered the realm of geeks, ratings of game consoles and software is something that everyone can benefit from. And of course, you don’t have to belong to Geekdom to know the value of such ratings. When it comes to the world of hand-held gaming devices, no one can deny that Sony has a stellar reputation for producing consoles that make other consoles look like they are just visiting. The new PSP Go is no exception and with its new sleek that combines extra capabilities, the PSP ratings just went up on all geek scales.

The PSP has always been an excellent to have on the go. The PSP Go continues to live to that name with its reduced size and weight. The sliding feature of the PSP Go is an excellent addition to the already sleek look of its predecessors. It slides to reveal the gaming pad of the PSP with the directional buttons, analog stick and the rest of the keypad. In addition, it comes with Bluetooth support that did not exist in the previous PSP. This means that you can now sync the PSP Go with your Bluetooth headset and even tether it to your other Bluetooth-enabled devices like your phone. The real awesomeness with Bluetooth however is the fact that you can now play games with a Bluetooth controller on your PSP. PSP ratings just went up an extra 2 points!

For very good reasons, Sony has abandoned the use of UMDs and instead added 16GB of Flash memory that will be used to host games. In addition, you can purchase a Memory Stick Micro up to 32GB giving you superior memory capacity and plenty of download space for all your music, videos and of course those powerful games that will keep you glued to the screen. When it comes to bright and vivid screen displays, Sony has no rival. The PSP Go boasts a display that displays approximately 16, 770, 000 million colors. Try out FIFA 2011 on the PSP go and you will know what I mean.

With full multimedia capabilities that allows the viewing of photos, videos and even chatting via Skype, you have all you need in that cute little box. You also get access to the Playstation Network where you get to download the games available. By the way, you can also download games via your PC wireless network or from your PS3 system if you own one. If you ask, my geek score PSP ratings just blew the handheld game consoles radar right out of the water!!
